HHO Gas Fact or Fiction
Like most people when I first heard of HHO gas I wanted to know if what I was hearing was true. Is this HHO gas fact or fiction and how can you possibly make fuel out of water.
After reading up on it a bit I learned that it is not actually hydrogen like I had first assumed but is a gas that is a mixture of 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen. Now I wasn't the best student in high school and I am a mechanic not a chemist so this caused me a little more confusion. After all I knew that H2O is water.
Apparently though when you use the electrolysis process then it separates the two hydrogen parts from each other and makes a gas. The only thing I could do from there is actually build one of these HHO generators and see if it works.
So Does HHO Really Work
I had heard enough that I needed to find out if this HHO deal would work. I went ahead and bought some plans so I could try it out and started building my own HHO generator.

It took me most of the afternoon running around to different stores to buy all of the parts to make it. The parts were all pretty cheap as long as you don't count the gs money of running all over town though.
Spent a few hours the next day putting the thing together after which it was time to test it. I used distilled water and about one teaspoon of baking soda, the baking soda apparently helps it conduct - kind of like the acid in your battery.
As soon as I hooked up the battery to the HHO generator it began making a lot of tiny bubbles, a whole lot of them. I grabbed another jar and filled it with tap water and ran a hose from the generator into the other jar of water so I could check and see if it was flammable without blowing myself up.
I used one of those long lighters that you get for the fireplace and started trying to light the big bubbles that were coming up in the jar with the tap water. I almost couldn't believe it but but we definitely have a flammable gas here.
So yeah the HHO Does Really Work and I am even running it in a Honda Accord now. Good luck with your own experiments.
